Wedyan Association for Society Development in partnership with NRC and funded by the EU, implemented the process of distributing agricultural kits in the Tuban District, Lahj Governorate.
The bags distributed to 20 beneficiaries of small farmers in the villages of Bir Fadhel and Kod Bihan included (hot pepper seeds, zucchini seeds, mallow seeds, a transport cart, a fork, a pickaxe, a shovel, and a vegetable basket). The project manager, Eng. Ammar Mohammed Saleh confirmed that the distribution of the agricultural bag to small farmers, both male and female, came after a set of steps and procedures to ensure the achievement of economic benefit and empowerment, starting with the beneficiary families and reaching the local communities. Among these steps and procedures is training small farmers, both male and female, on the correct and sound practices in modern agricultural methods and mechanisms, while ensuring the good preparation of agricultural lands for small farmers and the optimal use of water resources. There was also a specialized team from the Wedyan Association to follow up on small farmers to give them the necessary guidance and advice.
